On April 18th Renaissance Foundation decided to join in the music celebration and participate in Record Store Day 2015.
Record Store Day is the one day a year in which record stores all around the world join forces to raise awareness about physical music sales, something which has been suffering a lot since in the internet era of digital downloads, but that seems to be seeing the light at the end of the tunnel thanks to the resurrection of the vinyl.
Boxpark kindly set a stall for RF on their popular courtyard in Shoreditch for the team to sell records. With donations from Love Vinyl, Flashback Records and XL Recordings; RF got a great collection of vinyls to sell and raise funds for the summer programs.
The young people showed their fantastic public speaking and debating skills learned at the workshops and made awesome sales which made Record Store Day a complete success for the Foundation.
Big thanks to Box Park, Love Vinyl, Flashback Records and XL Recordings for making this day possible and thanks to the team of young people for coming down and working so hard through the day!
