Nobel Peace Prize Project
& Youth Exchange
Four Programme Theme Areas
Renaissance Foundation has been representing youth from the UK at the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo since 2006, following an invitation from 2004 Nobel Peace Laureate Prof Wangari Mathaai.
With support from the Norwegian Peace Institute and the Norwegian Embassy in London, this annual exchange has expanded to enable youth from both London and Oslo to experience the Nobel Peace Prize events and a wider educational & cultural exchange programme.
Since it has started, highlights for this programme have included the Young Leaders meeting with HRH Crown Prince Haakon. He kindly exchanged with the group about their trip in Norway and introduced them to the international youth collaboration project he founded called Global Dignity.
Our Young Leaders have also had the opportunity to meet with the Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg who provided wise advice on how to become a future leader.
