In order to mark the centenary of some women gaining the right to vote, we are hosting a screening of the film Suffragette for our young people and key supporters with an additional Q&A with Scarlett Curtis, author of Feminists Don't Wear Pink (and Other Lies). Suffragette explore the British Suffrage movement through Maud Watts, a young laundry worker who gets caught up in a suffragette protest in 1912 and becomes heavily involved with the movement. It is a poignant testament to the impact of impassioned activists and the sacrifices that are made to ensure justice for all.
