Our Anti-Racism Statement:
At Renaissance Foundation, we are on a mission to improve the lives of young carers and young people with chronic illness across London. As a charity supporting young people from a range of diverse backgrounds, we oppose racism in all its forms. We recognise that racism is not just individual prejudice, but a systemic issue that creates barriers to equality and justice in our communities - especially the communities that we serve and support. We are committed to being an actively anti-racist organisation that works to create meaningful change.
Our Commitments:
We are committed to ongoing education about racism, bias, and privilege. This includes regular training for our staff, volunteers, and board members, as well as listening to and learning from the experiences of those most affected by racism. We strive to ensure our programme, services, and workplace are inclusive and accessible to people of all racial and ethnic backgrounds. We actively work to remove barriers that prevent full participation in our organisation and the communities we serve. We continuously examine our policies and practices to identify and eliminate any barriers that may disproportionately impact people of colour; we also collect and analyze demographic data to measure our progress and hold ourselves accountable to our commitments.
We invite you to hold us accountable to these commitments. If you have concerns, suggestions, or want to discuss how we can better serve our communities, please contact us at info@renaissance-foundation.com.
